Security Engineer

About the role

As a Security Engineer, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for securing the company’s infrastructure and systems. You will proactively identify and address security vulnerabilities, ensure compliance with the Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP) and PPN Policy, and regularly report on remediation progress. This role requires strong technical expertise in log analysis, security remediation, and system hardening.

What you’ll do

• Review system and infrastructure audit trails and security logs to identify gaps against PPN Policy and Law No. 27/2022 (UU PDP).
• Perform technical remediation to address identified security gaps and vulnerabilities.
• Develop technical remediation plans for identified security threats and findings.
• Continuously track the implementation status of remediation plans.
• Prepare and maintain progress reports on security gap remediation.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Security Engineering, or Security Operations Center (SOC).
• Proficient in analyzing system, database, application, and network logs.
• Understanding of log retention, log integrity (hashing/WORM), and personal data protection in accordance with UU PDP and internal standards.
• Hands-on experience with IAM/RBAC, Network Security Group/WAF, OS/Container hardening (CIS Benchmarks), system patching, and data encryption (TLS/AES).
• Familiarity with managing remediation tickets using Jira, GitLab Issues, or similar issue-tracking tools.
